Monday 25 September – Congress Welcome Evening at Albert’s Schloss
Paradise, One Chamberlain Sq, Birmingham B3 3AX
This year we are off to the spacious Albert’s Schloss, a Bavarian style bar and restaurant – named after German-born Prince Albert, consort to Queen Victoria. Located close to the ICC – across Centenary Square (just past the Library) in 1 Chamberlain Square, Paradise Forum
The large capacity space makes it ideal for mixing with fellow delegates and networking in a relaxed environment, with plenty seating and mixing options ideal for catching up and discussing the events of the days to come. Buffet food is available for attendees between 6 and 8pm.
Tuesday 26 September – at un Sabor de Cuba
8 Temple St, Birmingham B2 5BN
Take a journey into Havana’s heyday by joining us for a taste of Cuba – our mid-Congress themed networking function at Birmingham’s own little corner of Cuba.
Located close to New Street station, Revolucion de Cuba is readily accessed from the ICC.
The event will start at 7pm and a ‘Mostrador’ Buffet serving a selection of hot and cold Cuban dishes will be served from 8.15 – 9pm.
Attendance is free for delegates and is by ticket only which can be obtained via the ticket desk in Hall 4. Please be aware that due to the high number of delegates at Congress, it is not possible to guarantee that there are tickets for everyone.
Wednesday 27 September – The President’s Reception at The Banqueting Suite
Council House, Victoria Square, Birmingham B1 1BB
Join us at this social function hosted by Debra Padgett, IBMS President in the Banqueting Suite of the Birmingham City Council House to celebrate a successful Congress in our ‘last night’ networking event. The Banqueting Suite is a beautiful Grade II* listed building in Victoria Square in close proximity the ICC.
The Reception starts from 6.45pm for this evening of networking with friends, colleagues and fellow delegates. A buffet will be served during the period 7 - 8pm.
Attendance is free for delegates and is by ticket only which can be obtained via the ticket desk in Hall 4. Please be aware that due to the high number of delegates at Congress, it is not possible to guarantee that there are tickets for everyone.
